Everything to Know About ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Vol. 3′

“I don’t think so, but I got a lot of love for Jennifer Jason and Rawson , our director. I would happily work with any of them again, but I think We’re Still the Millers is probably not gonna happen,” the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 actor, 29, exclusively tells Us Weekly.

“I constantly laughing,” he adds. “Watching Jennifer at work, someone I watched, I was a huge Friends fan hâm mộ growing up, so getting khổng lồ watch her bởi vì her thing in person was a huge privilege and Jason’s such a brilliant improviser. So getting lớn see them both kind of up close bởi vì their thing was great. I was definitely taking notes.”

Aniston, 53, in particular, became a mentor for Poulter. “Jennifer really kind of came lớn my aid on a number of occasions with Millers,” he recalls. “So I’m really lucky anytime I’m around those more experienced people that they’re kind enough to lớn kind of extend some advice and some encouragement my way. And it sticks with me.”

As for where Kenny would be today, he replied: “Oh, God, no idea. No idea. I haven’t thought about Ken in a while! I gotta be honest.”

We’re the Millers also starred Emma Roberts, Nick Offerman, Kathryn Hahn and Ed Helms. Although Poulter’s comedic timing made him a standout in the film, it’s actually drama that he’s more drawn to.

“Truth be told, I think my heart’s probably more in drama. I think comedy’s something that I do and I have fun doing, but drama’s where I kind of wrestle with stuff a little bit more và I enjoy that challenge. Comedy I definitely have more fun, but I sort of almost enjoy the difficulty that comes with drama,” he explained. “I sort of get off on the friction that I guess drama affords me from an emotional standpoint. Comedy can sometimes feel lượt thích too much fun that I’m not getting my hands dirty enough.”

Poulter went on to lớn play Gally in the Maze Runner franchise, & a terrifying cop in the Kathryn Bigelow-directed period crime drama Detroit, in addition to roles in Leonardo Di
Caprio’s
The Revenant, Midsommar, và the TV miniseries Dopesick alongside Michael Keaton, which focuses on America’s struggle with opioid addiction.

Worst Movie Sequels of All Time

Dopesick was something that I was really passionate about because I sort of wanted to try and find something that provided some commentary on addiction và the injustice that people who suffer from addiction also suffer from and the difficulties that they face, which are compounded by a kind of systemic injustice. So that’s something I wanna try & continue to lớn do, that gives me a sort of greater sense of purpose, I think, with what I’m doing. Và it helps me feel as though I’m sort of maximizing the potential of my job và my roles. I’m keen lớn try và keep that going as long as possible,” Poulter told Us. “Every time I’m around an experienced actor, I’m really just trying to kind of observe and absorb as much as possible. You know, Michael Keaton was someone who offered me a lot of advice and was very, very supportive. Leonardo Di
Caprio really kind of put his arm around me and helped me out a lot.”

Poulter has a long danh mục of actors và directors he’d love to work with in the future, but he’d also rework with most too. “I wanna work with Kathryn Bigelow again,” he said. “I know that’s a bit greedy!”

The Score star feels “so lucky” with his profession, but he isn’t ruling anything else out.

“Cooking is something that I’m really interested in, & I’ve always said I’d love khổng lồ try và go lớn culinary school at some point. That’s something I still want lớn do, is go away khổng lồ culinary school at some point, if I carve out lượt thích a year for myself,” he said, noting that his trailers on set tend lớn be packed with chef biographies. “But the problem is I’m not very good at time management, multitasking or operating under pressure. So I think a professional kitchen, probably not. I think I’m just gonna stick khổng lồ reading about chefs và watching TV shows about them, as opposed to lớn trying to vì what they do. It’s not to lớn be taken lightly. That’s a serious craft!”

Warner Brothers" 2013 film "We"re the Millers" was considered a surprise hit. The road trip comedy cost only $37 million to lớn produce, a fraction of its staggering worldwide $269.9 million gross revenue. Those studio profits, combined with the movie"s ending, teed up a likely sequel starring the dysfunctional Miller bunch.

Indeed, the story has a fun plot with a sequel-friendly ending. Small-time pot dealer David Clark (Jason Sudeikis) is roped into transporting a large amount of marijuana into the U.S. From Mexico by his mean-spirited boss/drug lord Brad Gudlinger (Ed Helms). David convinces his neighbors — stripper Rose (Jennifer Aniston), oddball teen Kenny (Will Poulter), và runaway Casey (Emma Roberts) — lớn accompany him and pose as a normal family in exchange for a portion of the payout. Things get dicey when a vacationing DEA Agent, played by Nick Offerman, begins to suspect the group.

In the end, the group is placed in the witness protection program & the mischievous Millers reveal that they may not be finished living the bé artist"s life: When the camera pulls out, it exposes croppings of marijuana plants growing in the Millers" suburban backyard. Perfect for a follow-up.

Eight years down the road, is it possible a "We"re the Millers 2" is still happening?

New Line Cinema
Soon after the success of "We"re The Millers," New Line Cinema confirmed there would be a sequel, per We Got This Covered. The company announced the attachment of writer Adam Sztykiel, known at the time for "Due Date," the comedy starring Robert Downey Jr. Và Zach Galifianakis. The studio also announced the return of director Rawson Marshall Thurber, who directed the original. Since the announcement, Sztykiel created the NBC sitcom "Undateable," starring disgraced comedian Chris D"Elia. Thurber has also focused on other projects, including the film "Skyscraper" and the upcoming Netflix action-thriller "Red Notice," starring Dwayne Johnson, Ryan Reynolds, & Wonder Woman Gal Gadot.

Perhaps the development of other projects has delayed work on a proper follow-up script for the faux family. Fans of the comedy can continue hoping, though. On IMDB, "We"re The Millers 2" sits atop of both of Thurber"s and Sztykiel"s filmographies, waiting khổng lồ be recategorized from "announced" to "in production."

With a number of comedic actors in the first film, the creatives have plenty of avenues they could take for the sequel. Perhaps The Millers" old friend Edie, played by Kathryn Hahn, even pays them a visit from Westview in the future.
